Caravan for Cuba

Customers take whatever they want and donate whatever they want. All proceeds go to a different global charity each week. Ingredients are fair-trade and as local as possible, from the Farmer's Markets or backyards. Students from Santa Cruz High School sometimes help out, play ukuleles, or play with the baby chicks.

Betsy McNair, our chef extraordinaire, has the number $1000 singing in her head. While we're waiting for fiscal sponsorship so the donation can be tax-deductible, we'll be donating this Friday's gleanings along with all bread and goat milk profits to Sergio's cause. We'll get there yet!

On to the food for Friday the 24th at 7:00

  • Milk Mama Goat Cheese ala Kim and Daniella on Gayle's Crostini
This beautiful cheese is drenched in Kalamata olives and indecent amounts of garlic slow-sauteed in olive oil. Daniella guarantees that you will fall at my feet, not to mention order Mali and Dustin's excellent goat cheese yourself so you can devour this in the privacy of your own home - it's that incendiary.
